440th blog … happy birthday, edsa …. errrr! merry xmas pala! to all pilipitnoys! … heheheh!

… a glimpse of history in manila  reveals the metro rail transit system of edsa having a length of almost or about 17 kilometers was officially began in 1989.

… however, the project was stalled by the government allegations on irregularities of the previous signed contract, which was sanitized during the term of cory aquino, supposedly.

… the same administration actually started all the arrays or disarrays of additional contracts concerning the edsa metro rail transit system.

… a consortium of local real estate companies subsequently formed a new corporation they called MRTC in June 1995 that took over the EDSA LRT corporation during the administration of fidel ramos.

… the MRTC finally signed the BOT contract on october 15, 1996 with the DOTC, which meant that the latter would possess ownership of the system and assume all administrative functions such as the regulation of fares and operations,

… while the actual construction and maintenance of the system is left to the responsibility of MRTC well as the procurement required for the maintenance.

… now, who and what are the names of the people that negotiated all the contracts above? are they the same people now running this government? …
